President’s Message – Fall 2026

A. Scott MacKnight, CEO/President

As the year turns toward its final quarter, I find myself reflecting less on the numbers and more on the people behind them.

Rates still matter, and this quarter we made moves designed to put real money back in our members’ pockets. We adjusted our auto loan rates for both new purchases and refinances. Our 40 year adjustable rate mortgage remains available, offering qualified homebuyers another path to affordability in a market that has not made affordability easy. And we reactivated our 15 Month Special Certificate at a rate we are proud to put in front of our members.

Being a credit union, though, has always meant more than pricing. More than 530 students have now taken part in Triangle’s financial literacy programs. That is 530 young people who have worked through what it means to save, to budget, and to build credit. Financial confidence is learned, and every one of those conversations makes the next generation better prepared than the one before it.

Our presence in the community has been just as steady. Through sponsorships, donations, and the hours our employees give on their own time, Triangle will have supported 90 charities and organizations as of October 1st. Behind that number are food drives, scholarships, fundraisers, and volunteer shifts. I read it as a list of neighbors helped. I am proud of our employees and grateful to our members for allowing Triangle to be part of your financial journey.
