Push notifications are messages or alerts that pop up on your smartphone or mobile device from companies’ apps you’ve downloaded on those devices and enabled notifications for. Depending on the app, you will receive various alerts and notifications, such as reminders, real-time updates, etc.
5 Reasons to Enable Push Notifications
- Account Balances and Transactions
When you enable push notifications on the Triangle Credit Union Mobile App, you can choose to get notified for a variety of account related alerts:
- Low Balance: If your account balance falls below the set amount
- High Balance: If your account balance goes over the set amount
- Balance Update: Choose how often you want to be notified of your current account balance
- Large Withdrawal: When a withdrawal is made from your account equal or over to the set amount
- Large Deposit: When a deposit is made on your account equal or over to the set amount

- Service Outages and Alerts
Technology isn’t perfect, and sometimes there are unexpected server updates or necessary maintenance that leads to downtime. By enabling push notifications, you can receive updates that will let you know of these service outages, projected downtimes, and alert you when service has been restored.
- Branch Closures
There are times when the branches need to close due to unforeseen circumstances—weather conditions, power outages, etc. Be the first to know about these closures and what options are available to you, including the nearest ATMs, other available branches, and our fleet of TCUGo Services.

Triangle Credit Union Feed
In addition to receiving push notifications, you will have access to the Triangle Credit Union feed within mobile and online banking. The feed will be updated periodically with financial tips and tricks, new product information, past webinars and workshops, and more!

Navigating to the feed is easy! Within the mobile app, click more and then TCU Feed

Instructions for Enabling Push Notifications
Enable Push Notifications for the TCU app in your device settings:
For iOS
- Navigate to Settings
- Find and click on “Triangle CU” app
- Click on “Notifications”
- Toggle “Allow Notifications” On
For AndroidOS
- Navigate to Settings
- Click on “Notifications”
- Click on “App Notifications”
- Find and search for “Triangle CU”
- Toggle notifications on
After you have enabled notifications for the TCU app in your device settings, you will need to enable Interact Messages within the TCU Mobile App:
- Log into the TCU Mobile app
- Navigate to “More”
- Select the Settings (Gear icon) in the top right corner of the app
- Select “Push Notifications”
- Toggle on “Interact Messages”
